Business people in residential areas in Nakuru town have been urged to embrace Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras to enhance security.
This was said today (Thursday) by Mawanga-Teachers Business Owners Association (MATEBOA) Chairman James Maina when he addressed members of the Association during an ongoing Business and Leadership Workshop at Deliverance Church Hall in the Estate along Nakuru-Nyahururu Highway.
Chairman Maina observed that CCTV cameras security surveillance system gadgets were among the common and popular modern security risk management tools being applied by business operators around the country and urged members of his Association to brace towards adapting to the trend.
“CCTVs are common everywhere around the country in businesses and even homes. Why can we not start thinking of embracing them and follow the trend as a security management measure,’’ posed Maina adding that members of the Association lose hundreds of thousands worth of money and property yearly due to insecurity.
According to the Chairman, the CCTV camera gadgets prices were reducing on a daily basis and encouraged the members to save and purchase them to boost security at their business premises.
Maina added that the Association would in the near future collaborate with local security companies to offer advanced security surveillance services noting that the aim of the Association that was stated barely a year ago was to improve on the rights and bargaining power capacities of its members collectively.
