The fight, Nyamunga says, began with his truce with former Premier Raila Odinga early last year, but the reconciliation has been under criticism from forces allied to his deputy William Ruto.

The lawmaker is now blaming Uhuru's hardships on the same group, which has been nicknamed 'Tangatanga', accusing them of retreating to their tribal cocoons in rebellion.

Nyamunga on Monday claimed that the group has been reuniting under their tribal formations to fight the initiatives which they consider unfavourable to their political intentions.

"Its Team Tangatanga who have made it difficult for the president to achieve his mission of a cohesive Kenya because of how they retreat to their political cocoons during crisis," she said.

The former Kisumu Woman Rep also accused the team of sabotaging the president, arguing that they have made it clear that they do not share in his ideologies despite claiming to be on his side.

According to Nyamunga, Tangatanga's opposition to most of Uhuru's initiatives aimed at establishing sanity in the country should be a wake-up call for him that he is all alone.

"From the way they fought the lifestyle audit, the war on corruption, the handshake the investigative bodies; They simply demonstrated that they are not with the president," she added.

The same group has also questioned the March 2018 handshake, accusing Raila of coming on board with evil intentions, most likely to break the Jubilee Party and scuttle Ruto's future plans.
