The parents blamed Peter Anyal for the fact that only 3 of the 18 pupils who sat their KCPE exams managed the 250 pass mark, the school also had a mean score of 213.

Led by the school patron Godfrey Ombogo, the parents also accused Anyal of embezzlement of school funds, adding that their attempts to have Teachers Service Commission (TSC) give them a replacement have been futile.

"He has been embezzling school funds and imposing charges on parents that were not sanctioned by anyone. In 2019, he did not hold a single meeting with the parents and Board of Management (BoM),” said Ombogo.

The angry parents also prevented teachers from accessing the school, saying that the headteacher's seven-year tenure in the school has been marked with deterioration.

John Owino, a stakeholder, said that they would rather operate without a headteacher than with Anyal.

"We cannot sit and watch as one man ‘kills’ a school that gave us the foundation of what we are today. If the TSC is not ready to give us a new headteacher, then we will do without one," he said.

As a result, the school gate and staffroom remained locked, as the parents watched over.
