A short video clip has gone viral, which shows a junior officer slipping his hands into his boss' pockets during the dramatic arrest of Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko.
The incident happened in Voi on Friday, where the county boss was nabbed, an ordeal that turned chaotic, as the governor engaged the officers in an exchange.
In the clip, the junior officer who is standing behind the apparent target appears to be slipping his hands into the officer's right trouser pocket then withdraws it quickly.
The senior officer who appears to have felt something touching him turns back but by now, the junior officer has moved forward into the crowd of officers.
In the middle of the crowd is the controversial Sonko, who was lamenting for being handcuffed, before he was bundled into a waiting police chopper and taken to Nairobi.
The governor, who has been battling graft charges is accused of presiding over corruption and is expected to spend the weekend in police custody before his arraignment on Monday.
During the arrest, the governor created a scene when he yelled in pain during his cuffing moment, before attempting to bite one of the officers putting the handcuffs on him.
