The  Youth Enterprise Fund has embarked on a door to door campaign to sensitise target groups on the need to apply for loans.

The campaign targeting more than 30 districts aims at increasing the number of youths who access youth funds.

Speaking during the launch of the campaign in Nakuru, Youth Enterprise fund  chief executive officer Catherine Namuye said that already 21,035 groups have benefited from the funds across the country.

''Unlike in the beginning we are now giving loans to individual youths who have minimal collateral. am so impressed as many youths have shown  interest in engaging in income generating activities like Agri-business, art among others,” said Namuye. 

Nakuru County director of Vocational Training and Youth affairs Josphat Kimemiaa said that already the county has signed an MOU with the County government in order to facilitate access to loans.

He added that they will be reaching out to youths in the remote areas so as to maximise their potential.

The campaign next moves to Kericho.
