A man was forgiven by a Nakuru court on Thursday after he was caught by Kenya forests officers with three posts.
James Muindel was allegedly caught with three posts at Nduru forest in Njoro on August 18.
He pleaded guilty before Chief Magistrate, Doreen Mulekyo and prayed for forgiveness saying that he needed to construct a cloth line.
"I met three boys who sold to me three posts at Sh70 each, i wanted to construct a cloth line at my home stead and thus need the posts, i found them cheaper so i bought them," he said.
He further said that he later met the Kenya forest officers who arrested him and took him to Njoro police station. He asked that the court forgives him.
The court forgave him and urged him to be cautious on buying forest produce with out a license from the authorities.
