The PS has allegedly failed to abide by the July 8, 2018, order directing him to reinstate Francis Waweru, a civil servant who sued the PS for illegal dismissal in 2016.

In his suit, the civil servant who was serving in the Kenya Forest Service claimed that his dismissal was unfair, wrongful and unprocedural.

He also told the court that his salary has also been withheld since his 'illegal' dismissal.

He said that he has been serving in the department since 1987, before he was fired following his indictment in 2011where he was accused of engaging in illegal tree felling.

Through a letter, the department fired him on grounds that he felled 50 cedar trees that were placed under him and converted them to posts.

The court acquitted him in March 2017 ordering that he be handed back his position, reports the Standard.

However, is yet to be given back his job as was ordered by the Justice Monica Mbaru who now wants the PS availed before him to explain why the order is yet to he honoured.
