President Uhuru Kenyatta should now crack the whip on Mt Kenya MPs who are allegedly undermining his leadership.
Uhuru has been under attack from legislators hailing from Central Kenya, some accusing him of inept leadership.
For instance, Kandara MP Alice Wahome on Thursday accused Uhuru of plotting to continue staying in power.
"I am sure Kenyans must be thinking that Mr Murathe is dreaming. No, I don’t think so. I don’t think Atwoli is talking from nowhere. I also do not think Beth Mugo, who is a close relative of Uhuru Kenyatta, is speaking from nowhere either,’’ Wahome said.
But Lugari MP Ayub Savula now says Uhuru should crack the whip against the dissidents, adding that "enough is enough".
According to him, the MPs are hired by a certain force to undermine the president who they should protect at all cost.
"Central Kenya MPs are behaving like hired goons, and we want to know who is hiring them. They gave no respect to presidency. Enough is enough, they must respect the president. Let Uhuru crack the whip and dissolve parliament," he said.
Uhuru is serving his second and final term in office. He has been calling for peace and stability, accusing the MPs of pushing for early campaigns.
