Speaking today at the institution during a meeting organised by his leadership and the institution’s management, Ken Atuti said the project was long overdue and will commence as soon as possible to ease learning activities.

“This is a project that should have begun long ago but am happy that I have come to launch it. Electricity is a basic need in our contemporary society and pupils will have a chance to come for prep,” he said.

He challenged teachers to take advantage of the initiative and assist pupils in order to improve deteriorating academic standards by teaching remedial

“We respect you teachers and you probably understand our dismal performance. With enough books and now electricity, I know there will be no excuse for poor performance. Organise extra lessons so that you can impart knowledge to our pupils,” he said.

The head teacher, Peter Monubi, lauded the MCA and requested him to extend hand to other neighboring school for the sake of incredible performance from the region.

“This is absolutely superb. Underperformance will be inexcusable hence will be buried. I beg you to aid other institutions for the sake of good performance,” he said.

He urged parents to enrol more children to the school due to its proximity to the surrounding community besides supporting the school for academic excellence.

The project will cost Sh 35,000.
