All arrangements are set for the 2019 County Assemblies Sports Association (CASA) games which will be held in Uasin Gishu County.
The games are set to kick off on September 27, to October 5, 2019. According to a post on Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago's facebook page, he said all plans are complete to the 2019 CASA games.
“The one-week-long event will attract over 10,000 participants from the 47 County Assemblies,” said Governor Mandago.
He spoke after hosting the CASA governing council officials in his office on Thursday. He reiterated that the games will be officially be opened by the Deputy President William Ruto.
"The teams will compete in 23 disciplines that include football, volleyball, netball, athletics, basketball, beauty contest, cultural dances among others,” Mandago added.
The county boss further said that the Inter-Assemblies games are crucial as they promote cohesiveness and integration between different counties and communities hence boosting national unity.
Mandago assured those who will participate in the competetion that there are enough facilities to host the games and that Eldoret is well prepared and ready to host them.
CASA games are held annually with all Members of County Assembly and staff from the 47 counties participating.
In last year's competitions held at Kasarani Stadium, Uasin Gishu County Assembly emerged overall winners.
