According to religious leaders from Kisumu County, the fruits of devolved system of government can only be realised in a secured country

Led by the Chairperson of Kisumu County Religious leaders Rev. Joshua Koyo, the leaders are decrying the high rate of insecurity in the county; a situation they said is pulling down the economy of the county.

“Why do we have all these cases of Kenyans being killed all over, case after case. Let the government take charge and stop all this,” said Koyo.

They in particular pointed finger at the management of the county’s security docket of being reluctant in handling the security situation at hand.

They on the other hand encouraged the public to live in harmony and tolerance as a way of fighting insecurity in the county.
