Kisia said that the county government is currently building talent academy which will equip local artists with relevant skills.

"We intend to help the youths to make good use of their talents, hence employing themselves. This will help to fight crime, unemployment among other vices," noted Kisia.

Kisia challenged the upcoming artistes to keep nurturing their talents awaiting the academy and not to relax.

“Kisumu talent academy is underway we are expecting it to help in improving skills  for our young people,” said Kisia.

She urged education minister in the county to assist in promoting entertainment among schools in the county.

“This will help to equip upcoming talented artistes with relevant skills hence helping them to realise their dreams fully,” noted Kisia.

Paul Gabiro a student at Maseno University said that the academy will help to promote talents among the youths in the county.

Gabiro urged fellow upcoming artistes to unite as they await for the completion of the talent academy.

“The academy will give the upcoming artistes a platform to sharpen their skills without a lot of hustles,” noted Gabiro.
