Keter has now vowed to sue Rift Valley Regional Coordinator George Natembeya over harassment claims against the residents of the area.

He has alleged that Natembeya is taking advantage of his position to frustrate the families living in the area.

While speaking in Chepagundi in Kuresoi when he visited the families on Sunday, Keter said that he will not sit back and watch the residents suffer.

He reminded the local administration not to intimate the local residents in the name of evictions. Keter said that the administrators are being used to force the residents of Mau to leave.

“We are all legal citizens in a sovereign country governed by rule of law. So nobody should use the laws meant to protect us to torture us for their own benefit. We will face them,” he said, as quoted by Citizen Digital.

Keter also said that the leaders want to use their powers to get unnecessary attention. He also said that he has directed his lawyer to embark on a legal process to ensure the locals get justice.

He was accompanied by his lawyer Peter Bore when he made the remarks. Keter also directed Samuel Tanui not to panic after he refused to host evictees voluntarily.
