The county hospital managed to scoop 10 awards out of 14, including trophies and a certificate.
The hospital received the awards based on; Quality improvement in the hospital, In and Outpatient interface, quality new borne care services, quality in laboratory services and overall clinical care services.
According to the medical superintendent Mr Amos Otedo this was a great milestone for them.
Otedo said over the weekend that the hospital was also the best overall in delivery, reproductive maternal and neonatal health services.
He said despite the challenges that the hospital is facing, they still managed to be the best in the departments.
“Neonatal ward is one of the small rooms within the hospital but they still managed to become the best in terms of delivering such services," Otedo said
He requested the county government to improve the hospital's infrastructure which includes completing the maternity wing and the new born unit that has currently ceased to operate.
Otedo thanked the hospital team and said they could not have received the awards if there wasn't cooperation among the staff.
