Luo council of elders have strongly condemned the Garissa University attack that left over 148 people dead, and over 70 others nursing serious injuries.
Speaking in Kisumu town, the elders asked Kenyans to work together to ensure people with plans to jeopardize peace in the country are firmly dealt with.
The elders called upon the government to improve its intelligence service to avoid such tragic incidences in future.
They added that terrorists have gone high tech these days, and they employ sophisticated ways in executing their missions.
They indicated that the government should move in equal measure is arresting such missions before they are launched.
They further sent their sincere messages of condolences to the affected families and wished the injured quick recovery.
Garissa University is one of the landslide attacks that has left the country wailing and weeping, and will be recorded in the country’s history as one of its blackest days.
Al-Shabaab militia men raided Garissa University on Thursday morning last week and massacred over 148 people, majority of whom were students.
