The commissioner observes that cases of cattle being knocked down along the Lari-Naivasha road have increased.

Kinyua noted that most of the cattle are left on their own, a move he said has also resulted to increased accidents.

“I ask residents to desist from grazing along the highway, cases of cattle being killed by vehicles have gone up,” he said.

The commissioner warned that cattle found left along the highway will be impounded and owners fined.

“We are going to act swiftly, those whose cattle will be found roaming along the highway in search of pasture will be arrested,” warned Kinyua.

On Tuesday, three cows were knocked down and killed by a moving lorry at Uplands Junction along the Lari- Naivasha road.

According to eye-witnesses, the cattle were trying to cross the road before they were hit and killed.
