This is after a research showed that many of schools have been conducting holiday tuition despite it being abolished by the government.

Speaking in his office, county executive member for education Kodek Omwancha warned teachers that are secretly holding tuition sessions.

“It is very unfortunate that after holiday tuition was banned some teachers are secretly continuing to practise it,” he said.

He further claimed that some schools have crafted methods where students no longer wear school uniforms but wear civilian clothes, thus making them unnoticeable.

He wondered why schools could be holding holiday tuitions yet they had ample time during first term and schools have been registering good grades despite tuition being banned.

“It is good for students to have a break as it gives them time to refresh their brains,” he added.
