A video of self-declared evil spirits caster, chasing away bad spirits at the Likoni Channel has emerged online.
In the video shared on Facebook by Mombasa County Government Watch on Friday at around 11 am, a man is seen performing all kind of rituals at the shores of Indian Ocean at Likoni Ferry Channel where a car plunged into the ocean on Sunday.
It is being alleged the man was casting away bad spirits and omen that could hinder divers' mission. The man was singing what seemed to be like religious songs while in the process of 'casting out the demons', with a number of onlookers also seen joining him in singing.
A mother and her 4-year-old daughter plunged into the Indian Ocean after their car slid off from MV Harambee which was moving from Likoni mainland towards Mombasa Island.
Divers from different government agencies and private ones led by the Kenya Navy have been camping the scene since Sunday but their efforts to retrieve the bodies and the car are still futile.
Kenya Ferry Services is still asking for patience after resuming the operation this Friday. Morning bad weather was one of the hindrances divers were facing at the start of the rescue.
"Salvage teams for the recovery of bodies resume operations. we appeal for patience as we hope for success. we condole and stand with the family and friends. #likoniferrytragedy #likoniferry @kenyaferry@PSSDTransport@EstherKoimett @Kenya_Ports@kmakenya @transportKE@maritimeKE," read Kenya Ferry Services tweet on Friday morning.
