Speaking in Nakuru town on Friday, Nderitu said that the plan, which was launched by nominated MCA Margret Kiiru is a waste of time.

He advised those behind the initiative, which was launched on Thursday to find something better to do instead of wasting people’s time.

“Just because hawkers are being moved from the CDB, some people have taken that as an avenue of portraying the government in bad faith. They have started collecting signatures to dissolve the government but they cannot say what is wrong with the government,” said Nderitu.

“It is not only in Nakuru where hawkers are being moved from the CBD, it has happened in Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu and Kakamega and Nakuru will not be the last one so people should stop wasting their time and focus on important issues,” added Nderitu.

He added that the government had not committed any crime, which can warrant its dissolution, and asked the nominated MCA to stop playing cheap politics.

On Thursday, Kiiru, who is a nominated MCA, launched the signature collection drive at a Nakuru hotel, where she said that she had already collected one thousand signatures from county residents who, are calling for the dissolution of the county government.
