A school head in Borabu constituency is pointing an accusing finger at a Nyamira MCA for allegedly trying to 'fix' him over corruption related activities.

Alex Nyang’au, the head teacher of Mogusii Primary School said Alfayo Ngeresa, the MCA, was inciting parents against him over alleged misappropriation of Sh180,000 said to have been used to procure stationery for pupils.

Nyang’au who spoke to this writer on Tuesday said the ward representative had continued to interfere with internal matters of the institution by spreading propaganda over his leadership claiming it was because he (the head teacher) is viewed as an outsider.

“He relies on unfounded claims to implicate me and incite parents against me. It is simply because I am an outsider but that doesn’t count in matters management. He should come out clearly and explain about the misappropriation,” he said.

The head teacher said the money in question was not accounted for by the previous administration and he had raised the matter with the current committee.

Nyang’au condemned the Monday incident that saw a group of parents storm the institution and disrupt learning by ordering him out.

“We are not denying the loss of money but it took place when I wasn't even in the institution. Auditing was done when I assumed office and I am ready to account for everything. We had raised the issue with the education officers in Borabu and my committee is aware of that. But it’s improper for one to fund demos against me,” he said.

However, the MCA who spoke on phone distanced himself from the claims and threatened to sue the school head.

“I don’t know why my name is being dragged into such issues. I am not even aware of the demos and the head master should face his predicament without necessarily involving us. Otherwise he may find himself in court,” he said.
