Speaking today at the school’s premises, the angry parents vowed to repel 'one man decision.'

“Sh 2800 was not factored in fees structure and we wonder how the school's principal added the additional charges,” said Peter karanja a parent at the school.

The parents said that the money is being charged them to 'buy' mattress for their children. “We suspect something is eating another,” said Ann Wanjiku. She added, “We cannot pay the money through bank accounts, we are told to pay by cash.”

The parents claim that their children have been sent home to collect the money.

“Our children are at home for failure to pay the money. The principal does not allow a student to go with a mattress,” added Wanjiku.

Our effort to speak to the school's principal, John Murith failed as he chased away our reporter.

“I have no business with you,” fired Murithi from his office to our reporter

The parents have now petitioned the Nakuru education officer to intervene and force the defiant principal to scrap the money.

The parents however said that they would pay the charges if there are valid reasons to purchase the mattresses but due procedures must be followed.
