On an interview on Citizen TV on Tuesday, Waiguru said that the head of state has given his best as far as development is concerned.

She alluded that there are several projects on the ground that the Jubilee government has initiated since Uhuru took over the presidency.

The Former Devolution Cabinet Secretary also said that the leaders who are faulting Uhuru's performance record are ill-advised.

Waiguru said that during the Uhuru's era the region has seen the construction of 300-Kilometer tarmac road, Thiba Dam and other projects.

“I do not think grievances from the Mt Kenya region are real. The challenges of Mt Kenya are similar to those in other parts of the country…” she said.

Waiguru further said that the politics of succession are partly to blame for the delayed delivery on the promise made by the national as well as county governments.

“Politics of succession is causing division in Mt Kenya. Certain people have begun positioning themselves for succession. That is expected in a democracy. The only problem is when we make false accusations so as to become popular," she said.

Waiguru also said that she is fully behind the handshake between President Uhuru and ODM leader Raila Amolo Odinga.
