Over 300 youths had turned up for the exercise.
According to Recruiting Officer David Wambua, NPS had invited all partners to ensure the exercise corruption free.
“We have observers to ensure credibility of the whole exercise,” he said.
Wambua, who is also the Trans Mara West police boss, said three people were turned away after names in their national identity cards failed to match those in their academic certificates.
He added that the process was keen on ensuring that tribal and regional balance was observed and met.
The recruitment targeted Kenyans aged between 18 and 28 years who scored a D Plus and above in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education examinations.
