Michael Ayieko an eye witness said that a strong wind in the area is to blame. The two escaped death with minimal injuries.

“It was hard for the driver to avoid the accident since it was a coincident. We assisted them to come out of the vehicle and immediately rushed them to Lyabe clinical hospital,” said Ayieko.

Lyabe clinical officer, Yvonne Andiva, said that the two are in stable condition despite the minimal injuries they sustained. The two will be released from the hospital any time.

She added that they were lucky that the canter had a hard body that the tree did not penetrate.

"They would have sustained fatal injuries were it not for the canter' hard body," noted Andiva.

The two are currently in Iyabe Hospital but they are expected to be released.
