In an interview on KTN's Point Blank on Wednesday, Sonko said that President Kenyatta deserves credit for the role he has played since he was elected into office.

The county boss said that the head of state never mixes friendship with work because he knows what the residents of this nation expect of him. Sonko reiterated that he has also emulated the footsteps of the President in the war against graft at the Nairobi County government.

The governor said that he is not ready to take any chances when his people are suffering because of a few individuals who want to loot every single resource they come across.

"President Uhuru does not care who you are when it comes to fighting corruption. He's like me.... he doesn't mix friendship with work," he said.

Sonko also said that he is determined to ensure that there are no cases of land grabbing in Nairobi. He thanked the residents for supporting him in dealing with land grabbers in the county. He cited the case of the reclamation of land from Loresho Mall.

"I want to thank the residents of Loresho and the Kibagare slum who stood with me as we brought the Loresho mall down and repossessed the land, " he said.

Sonko also said that he will fulfil all the promises he made to the people of Nairobi.
