Kisii County Commissioner Chege Mwangi has challenged all stakeholders and NGOs to put more efforts in fighting HIV/Aids diseases by supporting those infected and affected.
Mwangi who was speaking on Tuesday at Gusii Stadium during World Aids Day event said that NGOs and health stakeholders should help those infected with the virus with basic needs so that they can achieve their life goals.
He challenged the residents to give moral support to those infected with HIV virus to boost their self esteem.
"We need to give support to our brothers who are infected with the virus and make them feel loved so that they can be productive in the society," he said.
He also said his office will partner will organisations to support those with HIV to overcome the stigma they face in the society.
