Uasin Gishu County Kenya Network of Positive Teachers (Kenepote) Chairlady Mary Boroswa Goreti has urged youth to abstain from premarital sex.
Speaking at a forum to mark the Worlds AIDS Day in Eldoret town on Tuesday, Ms Boroswa said through abstinence, HIV/Aids infections among he youth could reduce.
"I urge the youth to abstain from premarital sex until marriage since it is the best exercise in the fight and spread of HIV/Aids.
He said youth should go for testing to know their HIV status.
She also called on Kenyans to stop stigmatisation of people living with HIV/Aids and instead embrace them.
"Kenyans should stop stigmatisation against people living with HIV/Aids since anyone can be infected with the disease and if not infected you are affected in one way or the other," she said.
