According to them, the queuing method is time wasting and does not have space in the contemporary society since people are migrating to digital era.

Speaking when they resumed their session on Thursday, several students criticised the management of it laxity in embracing digital way of doing things, a situation they claimed wasted most of their time, and called upon the institution to migrate to digital method of their data entry.

“Some of us have travelled from as far as Coast, northern and western parts of the country and it is therefore not fair to make us queue for many hours doing what one could do within ten minutes if it was to be done online,” said Zuenna Mueni, a second year student from the university who also urged students’ leaders to intervene and have the problem solved.

”This is a serious problem and something has to be done to fix it. We do not have to go to streets for this to be solved, since we believe that a competent union we have can definitely solve the issue in a diligent manner. I call upon them to engage the administration to have this fixed,” added Mueni.

They said the institution should embrace online booking of hostels besides enabling them to pay school fee on net.

However, the student leader President Rodgers Nyanumba said discussions were ongoing concerning the issue adding that the problem will soon be fixed by the end of this semester.

“I call upon comrades to wait a little bit since the said crisis is under discussion in the senate. I am quite sure by April we would have solved it,” Nyanumba.
