Three people have been confirmed dead after a fatal accident occurred along Keroka-Kisii road few meters from Keroka market.
This happened on Thursday night when a bus belonging to Ena Coach company collided head-on with a Probox.
The three lives were lost instantly.
According to Kegati area chief Alexander Nyakenyua, the bus was headed to Nairobi while the probox was headed from Keroka to Kisii town when they collided at near Kegati Secondary School.
"The two cars collided at the entrance of Kegati Secondary School and three people were killed on the spot,” Nyakenyua said as quoted by Citizen Digital.
Bodies of the trio were taken to Kisii Training and Referral Hospital.
This is not the first time an accident has occurred in the same spot as many accidents have occurred in the area in the past claiming lives too.
While speaking after the accident occurred, the area chief warned the motorists and drivers who use the Kisii-Keroka road, to be more cautious while using the road.
He noted that if it is taken to account and road regulations followed, accidents will be minimised in the region.
