The Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission (EACC) has now written to Kisumu County Assembly MCAs to avail some documents concerning international trips they have made in the past.
Acting speaker Gabriel Ochieng on Wednesday read a letter from the commission during statement time.
"Members, remain attentive for this letter I am about to read requires your immediate action, " he said.
In the letter, EACC asked MCAs who travelled to China, Singapore and Israel to submit photocopies of their passports and boarding passes to the commission.
"You should submit the required documents with the secretary of the assembly clerk by tomorrow (Thursday), " read part of the letter.
The MCAs, however, protested at the requirement of a boarding pass, which they say is difficult to get.
The acting speaker agreed with the ward representatives that it is not possible to trace the boarding pass and told MCAs to deposit the requirements they have.
The MCAs have in the past been accused of wasting public funds in unnecessary international trips.
