DJ Avicii was a Swedish electronic musician, DJ, and songwriter, who specialized in audio programming, remixing and record producing.

DJ Avicii took his own life in April 2018 in Muscat, Oman when he was only 28-year-old.

In a recent interview with CNN, DJ Avicii 's father Klas Bergling said his son was struggling with stage fright, addiction and depression throughout his career.

Mr Bergling who is planning to start a foundation that will focus on mental health and suicide prevention in son's honour; has urged the government, policymakers, to come up with ways that can help young generation battling mental problems to get help when the situation is within measures.

He recognized those in the mental health field for a recommendable job they are doing.

"There are so many people working in this field and really do a nice job, fantastic job, but it has to be something coming higher up from the politicians, making this force going one direction, not as it is today. A lot of things here and there. My wish is that it will be a change here, where young people can get help very early when the problems are small," said as quoted by CNN

Mr Bergling revealed that he used to hold lengthy conversations with his son, who was happy from tender age even before he started his music career. He says his family believe DJ Avicii's death was more like any other accident.

"Our theory is not that he planned this suicide, more that it was like a traffic accident. But he was, he was happy before. He was happy for his music." he added.

The ageing Mr Bergling also noted that the hardest part of being a celebrity in society is doing what fans want and like, even when the artist doesn't like doing them.
