With the advancement in technology and having most tasks performed online, it is simple and economical to set a wireless network at your home which can be accessed by not only you but also a few of your friends or relatives.
What you need is a wireless router, computer or laptop, ethernet cables, modem, telephone line and your phone as well. This can be created in very simple steps as follows;
1. Connect your wireless router with the modem
After this, connect your Ethernet cable to your modem on one end and the computer or laptop to the other end of the cable. The wireless router can be connected to a telephone line of your choice.
2. Turn them on in this order modem, router and the computer
Once you have connected the three, switch on the electricity or the source of power you are using, then turn on the devices in the order mentioned.
3. Check your default administrator settings
For efficiency in connection, check the settings tab and change the administrator password and name to what you prefer and ensure you do not use your name as people can access it easily. Make sure you save the settings and also set up the wireless adapter on your computer configuration settings on the network tab.
4. Connect your network
Once your wireless network is set and on, you can use your phone or any other internet enabled device to connect to your wireless network and browse as much as you wish.
