In a tweet on Tuesday evening, Mr Kipkor noted that the two artists are unknown in their own country.

"I was in Jamaica for one week & traveled across the country. I asked the drivers I used & waiters in the restaurants I visited if they knew Alaine or Morgan Heritage. None of the Jamaicans I asked knew them. They are unknowns in Jamaica. Kenya makes “stars” of non-stars," he said.

According to the city lawyer, its Kenyans who make these musicians top artists when they are nothing back in their country.

The controversial lawyer has been on vacation in Jamaica for a week. He further went ahead to slam the three Morgan Heritage members who were in Kenya on June for the "Tomorrow’s Leaders Festival" as con artists.

"And FYI, the three members in Kenya left the group in 1994, though unknown, Morgan Heritage is a family band, all who still live in Jamaica ... the three in Kenya are conning Kenyans. The trio aren’t Members of Morgan Heritage," he added.

Alaine has done some songs with Kenyan artist Willy Paul. She did "I DO" and their latest "Shado Mado."
