Speaking to journalists on Monday at Gatundu Town, former Gatundu South parliamentary aspirant John Mariga said that the heightened political activities in the country are affecting service delivery.

“There is a big need for leaders and especially the elected ones to come together and work for the people. It is disappointing to see leaders fighting in public instead of working to fulfill their promises to the people,” said Mariga.

At the same time, Mariga has asked the public to work with the government in maintaining security in the country.

“Security is not a one person affair. We have all to work together in keeping ourselves and our surroundings secure. Let us embrace the Nyumba Kumi initiative as well,” he said.

He also challenged the police to be responding fast to intelligence provided to them by the members of the public.
