Police in Kuresoi, Nakuru county, are holding a man accused of chopping off his stepson's ear.
The incident happened at their home in Kuresoi North on Monday, where the man allegedly chopped off the 12-year-old boy's right ear and then took off from the scene of the crime.
The boy's mother was away from home after leaving for the farm, before she was alerted by painful screams from the boy, only to return to find his ear cut off.
According to the Citizen Digital, the mother then alerted villagers who immediately embarked on a search for the suspect, who was later found some metres from the home.
They frogmarched him to the Kuresoi Police Station where he is being held pending arraignment, amid revelations that he is not new to harassing the boy who he found the wife with.
Villagers said that he has been sending him away from the house for the last 3 months, with one condemning him for accepting to marry the woman only to torture her son.
They said that he should have not married the woman in the first place if he knew that he can not peacefully live with her son, instead of accepting them both but hating the boy.
