Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria might be subjected to disciplinary proceedings after he went against the Jubilee Party dictates, Mumias East MP Benjamin Washiali has opined.
Kuria was on Friday spotted campaigning for Benson Musungu ahead of the Kibra ODM nominations, despite his Jubilee Party having fronted McDonald Mariga as its candidate.
Consequently, Washiali now claims that the controversial MP and his nominated counterpart Maina Kamanda, who also vowed to campaign for an ODM candidate, will be dealt with by the necessary party institutions.
"That will be handled within the party. If found guilty the law will apply (Hiyo itazungumziwa kwa chama, ikiwa watapatikana na makosa watachukuliwa sheria)," he said on Radio Maisha's Bunge La Maisha show on Tuesday morning.
Washiali also expressed confidence that Mariga, a soccer star will ultimately carry the day, terming his victory inevitable.
"Jubilee is ahead, we will have won by morning (Jubilee iko mbele, hiyo kitu tutachukua asubuhi)," he added.
In the ODM nominations, Musungu and the remaining eight hopefuls lost the ticket to Imran Okoth, brother to former Kibra MP, the late Ken Okoth.
Imran and Mariga will have to face off with among others, Amani National Congress (ANC) candidate Eliud Owalo in the mini polls set for November 7.
