Kenya has continued its great performance at 12th African games in Morocco, securing two more gold medals on day three of the competition.
Athletes; Emily Ngii, and Samuel Gathimba won gold in the women and men 20km walking race respectively, taking Kenya's tally to four gold medals.
Gathimba clocked 1:22:48 seconds, while Ngii managed to complete her race after 1:33:41 seconds.
Kenya kicked off the tournament well bagging two gold medals on the first day.
The two gold medals were courtesy of; Benjamin Kigen and Lillian Kasait, who emerged victorious in the men’s 3,000m steeplechase and he women’s 5,000m races.
Kigen took 8 minutes and 12.39 seconds to emerge the winner, while Kasait took 15 minutes and 33.63 seconds to win her race ahead of two Ethiopians.
Following the duo's stellar performance, Deputy President William Ruto took to Twitter to congratulate them.
"Congratulations to Benjamin Kigen for winning gold in the men’s 3,000m steeplechase and Lillian Kasait for clinching gold in the women’s 5,000m at the #AfricanGames in Rabat, Morocco. A strong, assertive performance," he tweeted.
