Lawyer Danstan Omari on Tuesday painted Meru Senator Mithika Linturi as a womanizer, amid the ongoing divorce case pitting the senator and his said wife Marriane Kitany.
Addressing the court, Linturi portrayed the Senator as a man who has had affairs with many women, some of whom he has had children with before marrying Kitany.
While cross examining Father Jason Micheni, who says that he officiated the two, the lawyer claimed that the Senator was at the at same time married to one Susan Gacheri.
He said that the two, Linturi and Ms Gacheri had two daughters, with the lawyer adding that he also had a son with one Hellen Mumbi eight years ago.
The preacher denied having knowledge of the affairs, save for that of Linturi and Mercy, who the Senator says was his first wife, and who the preacher said married him in 2000.
The lawyer said that Linturi and Mercy had a child before their marriage, which Father Micheni said happened at the Tigania Parish.
About the ongoing case, the Senator has denied having married Kitany, a former aide in the office of the Deputy President, saying that she was just a visitor in his house.
But Kitany insists that they were legally married .
