Kenyans on social media have expressed excitement after a video of popular comedian Trevor Noah defending Kenyan athlete Eliud Kipchoge emerged online.
Trevor Noah came to Kipchoge's defence after allegations surfaced that the athlete had cheated in the INEOS 1:59 Challenge by using shoes which were technologically advanced.
It is during the INEOS challenge in Vienna, Austria that Kipchoge went into history books for being the first man to run a full marathon in less than two hours.
Trevor Noah who is known for creating comedy out of trending topics went ahead and challenged the critics to wear the same shoes and try running the marathon. He comically argued that if Kipchoge had cheated, then it would not be because of the shoes but because of the fact that he was Kenyan.
Kenyans on Twitter were impressed by how Trevor Noah had twisted the topic to create comedy out of it and at the same time defend Kipchoge.
