In an interview at Kameme FM Tuesday, Mutua said that he really pities the president on how he is having it hard pulling the nation out if it's current problems, including graft.

He likened him to a captain trying to sail across a large water body, but whose crew, in reference to state officials, is not helping in any way but, is drilling holes on the ship.

He was referring to the growing number of state officials being named in graft scandals, which he termed a setback to Uhuru's push to wipe the menace out before his retirement in 2022.

"I really pity Uhuru Kenyatta. He is like a captain steering the ship but the people on board are digging holes. His is why there are no jobs, and the money he makes at daytime is stolen at night (Namhurumia sana Uhuru Kenyatta. (Yeye ni kama nahodha anayeendesha meli lakini wale wako ndani wanaweka mashimo, ndio maana hatuna kazi na pesa zile ametengeneza mchana zinaibwa usiku)" he said.

Mutua noted that this has distracted Uhuru, making him pay less attention to his development agenda and spend most of his time addressing matters to do with the graft purge.

"He has now stopped leading and pulling us out of povery and is now back with tin to clear the water leaking into the ship so that we dont perish (Sasa amewacha kutuongoza kututoa kwa umasikini amerudi nyuma kuchota maji na mkebe ili tusiangamie wote)," he added.
