Succession politics of 2022 took centre-stage during the ceremony to issue NG-CDF bursary cheques worth Sh34 million at Kaptembwa Market in Nakuru West sub-county.
Leader after leader, they condemned those who are spearheading dirty politics on social media.
Area MP Samuel Arama took an issue with a section of leaders who are against the BBI report and the famous handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
According to the MP, every leader should rally behind the BBI and referendum for the unity of the Nation.
He says this is the only way to ensure inclusivity in leadership.
"BBI is the way to go for the unity of Kenyans and as leaders, we should rally on the same," he said.
Arama also called on a section of Central politicians to respect the Presidency and shun politics of 2022 but rather focus on development.
He says the legacy that every leader should dream of is ensuring that there is development in society.
"We should leave the petty politics of 2022 out of Presidency and now focus on the development agenda," said Arama.
Kaptembwa Ward MCA Peter Kajwang' on his part urged leaders to shun divisive politics but rather work together towards realizing development.
The MCA vowed to work closely with area MP towards development.
"As MCA we shall work closely with area MP in realizing development," said MCA Kajwang'.
His sentiments were echoed by Kapkures Ward MCA Paul Kimutai.
Simon Ole Nasieku from Hawkers and Street Vendors Association in Nakuru reiterated that under the Nakuru Watchdog they have witnessed development in Nakuru West.
"We have gone round Nakuru sub-counties and we can indeed confirm that development has been witnessed in Nakuru West as compared to before," he said.
