Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has said the county is in a pathetic state.
Speaking on Wednesday on PointBlank show aired on KTN, Kabogo said the county was worse off under his successor Governor Ferdinand Waititu.
He further noted that the medical facilities in the county are in bad state, making it difficult for locals to access healthcare services.
"When you speak out people think you are a jilted lover. But the truth is that Kiambu is in a pathetic situation, hospitals are in a dilapidated situation," the former county boss said.
Kabogo claimed there has been a drastic drop in revenue collection, stating that during his tenure his administration collected close to two billion shillings, yet Governor Waititu's administration was collecting less than one billion.
This drop, he said, necessitates questions on why that is happening.
Governor Waititu is facing a litany of corruption charges that he has strongly rejected as politically motivated.
A judge presiding over his case ordered that he does not go to his offices for the duration of his case.
Kiambu Deputy Governor Dr James Nyoro installed himself acting governor after the judge issued the order.
The county administration has been rocked by confusion and divisions that residents fear will derail the development agenda.
