At least seven legislators allied to Deputy President William Ruto's camp will on Saturday convene at Sironga SDA Church, where politics are set to dominate.
Last week, over 30 leaders believed to have been sponsored by Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i met at Borabu MP Ben Momanyi's home where they resolved to support the minister.
A day later on Sunday, the team visited Riamoni in Kitutu Masaba where they formally asked those supporting Deputy President William Ruto to decamp.
"Those of us still in the other side should decamp immediately. As a community, let us support our minister. We have to unite and we have no option," Speaker Moffat Teya said.
But the team under Gusii MPs caucus chair Joash Nyamoko will on Saturday hold a rally at Sironga where they are expected to question the much hyped unity.
Others expected in the meeting are Shadrack Mose (Kitutu Masaba), Vincent Kemosi (West Mugirango), Alfa Miruka of Bomachoge-Chache, Ezekiel Mochogu of Nyaribari Masaba, Sylvanus Osoro of South Mugirango and Kisii DG Joash Maangi.
Last week, Mr Osoro dismissed Matiang'i as a political whimp, adding that he cannot be even elected as a buying center chairman.
"We cannot talk of unity under someone who cannot be elected as a buying center chairman. We know what's happening and we should stand with the DP," he said.
