Renowned lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has ridiculed Suna East MP Junet Mohamed after he called for a tough action to be taken against a group backing Deputy President William Ruto dubbed Tanga Tanga.
Describing the faction as a 'militia', Junet asked the government to crush the group after they stormed Kilimani Police Station demanding for the release of Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria who was in custody a few days ago.
"The Government must deal with this militia called Tanga Tanga thoroughly and maintain law and order. We can not allow a small militia from Central and Rift Valley to create chaos in our police stations," he tweeted.
Revisiting the post on Saturday, Abdullahi mocked the MP, who is also National Assembly Minority Whip, for being a close ally of Embakasi East MP Babu Owino who allegedly shot a man in a popular club in the city.
"Poetic justice...the only armed militia who opened fire in a crowded public place is Junet Mohamed's right-hand man in Parliament," the lawyer tweeted.
Babu is currently in police custody for allegedly injuring with a gun DJ Evolve at B-Club in Kilimani on Friday morning.
Detectives from Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have managed to recover the firearm that is suspected to have been used by the MP in the shooting incident.
"Nine rounds of ammunition and a spent cartridge have also been recovered and placed as exhibit awaiting analysis by ballistic experts," DCI said.
