Touched by the story of the young artist who hails from Mombasa, Size 8 shared the story to inspire other upcoming artists not to give up.

"Following pressure from her family, she unsuccessfully tried aborting me thrice until a doctor warned her that getting rid of me could kill her,” Size 8 quoted Gift Born in her tweet.

According to the narration, Gift Born’s father neglected him while at an early age.

“My father would be gone for an entire week, leaving me with nothing to eat. I used to survive on solely mangoes.” Size 8’s quotation of Gift Born read.

Size 8’s move to share the story comes after another popular gospel artist Daddy Owen released a song featuring the uprising artist after he was also touched by his story. The song which was released early this year is titled ‘Nitume’.

The ‘Mateke’ singer went ahead to encourage his fellow established artiste to support upcoming artistes like Gift Born.

She also encouraged other talented people not to give up on their dreams as Gift Born’s story was enough proof that dreams are achievable.
