Kenyan musician Jackson Ngechu Makini popularly known as Prezzo is set to contest for the Kibra parliamentary seat in 2022 on Wiper ticket.
Kalonzo Musyoka, the Wiper party boss revealed that the rapper approached him during the November Kibra by-election campaign and requested to represent the party.
"Wiper could have put a candidate there, a young man called Prezzo came to see me and he is going to be the Wiper candidate the way he is now in 2022 for Kibra," Kalonzo stated during an interview with Citizen TV.
The Kibra by-election which was won by ODM's candidate Imran Okoth saw a number of attracted a number of public figures including footballer McDonald Mariga (Jubilee Party) who came in second.
Popular DJ Kris Darlin also contested for the seat under an ODM ticket.
Prezzo has also indicated through his Instagram posts that he may be angling himself for politics, following in the steps of Charles Kanyi alias Jaguar who is the current MP for Starehe in Nairobi.
