Residents of South B estate, Nairobi are in shock after a woman and her daughter were found dead in their house with ropes around their necks.
Judith Mwai, 73, and her daughter, Catherine Mwai, 47, were found with sisal ropes around their necks on Monday night by a relative who had gone to visit them.
Police have launched investigations into their deaths.
Reports indicate that nothing was stolen from their house at Golden Gate estate.
A police source has revealed that on Sunday, neighbours saw a Toyota Land Cruiser dropping them at their home.
Unfortunately, they could not pick its registration number.
Police are now looking for the Toyota Land Cruiser in a bid to uncover the cause of their death.
Mwai is a retiree of the National Treasury, while her daughter Catherine was a former banker.
According to the police, their death was a planned murder.
