Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has released the programme for the final send-off ceremony for his late wife Adelaide Shikanga Khalwale.
Adelaide, who was Khalwale's first wife, died on Saturday morning after she collapsed at her in Malinya home in Ikolomani.
In the programme shared by the former senator on Twitter, the first requiem mass will be conducted at the Masinde Muliro University of Technology where Adelaide was a staff member on Thursday, this week.
A second mass will also be conducted on the same day at Malinya Catholic Church starting from 2pm. Adelaide will be laid to rest at her Malinya home on Saturday, October, 12 following prayers and Church service at Malinya Stadium beginning from 9am.
"Dear friends, here are my wife's final movements & requiem masses. 1) 10/10/19 - Masinde Muliro graduation square:10am, Malinya Catholic Church: 2pm. 2) 11/10/19 - Malinya home: 10am. 3) 12/10/19 - Malinya Stadium: 9am, Malinya Home - Burial. Amen," Khalwale tweeted.
Khalwale and Adelaide had been married for 39 years.
Kenyans, leaders and Kakamega residents have continued to send their messages of condolences to the family of the vocal politician as preparations for the burial ceremony go on.
