Dagoretti North lawmaker Simba Arati now claims that some of his colleagues from the North Rift region have directly benefitted from the multibillion Arror and Kimwarer dam saga.
This comes at a time when the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) Noordin Haji is hot on the heels of the scandal suspects, which has resulted in the arrest of among others, former National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich.
Speaking on Wednesday, Arati claimed that one of the MPs has managed to secure a vehicle bought for use in the dam construction for his wife, who has been using it to move around.
"One of them, a wife has been found with a Kimwarer vehicle; instead of it being used to to excavate the dam, she is driving it (Mmoja wao bibi amepatikana na gari ya Kimwarer, badala iende kuchimba kisima anaiendesha)," he said.
He made the remarks on Radio Jambo's Mazungumzo Waziwazi show on Wednesday night, hosted by Bramwel Mwololo, where he also urged some vocal area leaders who have been speaking on the issue to keep off.
The ODM MP advised Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi and Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen to keep off the matter and let it be handled by the relevant bodies.
"I want to request my brothers Sudi and Murkomen to remain mum even if they were beneficiaries. The truth shall come out (Nataka kuuliza ndugu zangu akina Sudi na Murkomen, Hata kama walikula wanyamaze maana ukweli utajulikana)," he added.
