Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Director of Communications Philip Etale has revived attacks on a section of Western Kenya leaders who have been attacking ODM boss Raila Odinga for allegedly sidelining the region.
The leaders, including former Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa have accused Raila of concentrating development in his Luo Nyanza region and ignoring Western Kenya, which has repeatedly supported his presidential bids.
But in a rejoinder on Sunday, Etale defended the former Prime Minister, noting that most of the complainants are allies of Deputy President William Ruto, who has been crisscrossing the nation, claiming to be launching projects.
He, therefore, questioned the whereabouts of the projects the group has been praising Ruto of launching, further telling them to get their development needs from the DP, who unlike Raila, is well placed within the government.
"Legislators allied to him (Ruto) have been telling us that the projects launched by the DP are ongoing and will help improve the lives of the people of the region. I just hope the projects are real," he wrote on Facebook.
Etale also took personal issue with Echesa, accusing him of making baseless remark, accusing him of making uninformed remarks which out his intelligence under question.
He further accused the former ODM youth wing boss of having a low reasoning capacity, claiming that his remarks indicate his ignorance and lack of ideas.
"The reasoning of some people is so low that you wonder why they are given the microphone to expose their poverty of ideas and exude ignorance in public," he added.
